Dear Dr, Allen:

It has just come to my attention that the City of
Lawrence contemplates some street. improvements in the form of
concrete paving along South Massachusetts St., and to say the
least, I am greatly interested in this class of work.

It is my understanding that the present Mayor is a man
by the name of Russell, and the City's Ingineer's name is Babb,
however, not knowing either of these gentlemen, and not being
familiar with any of the governing body and the way they handle
such work was wondering if you knew anyone connected with the
City Administration, and would intercede for me to the extent of
having my compeny to submit a proposal on this work.

Anything that you might do for us or any information
in this connection will be greatly appreciated.
