University of Kansas Dear Mre Allen: You will recall that I brought Paul Turner to the University | to see you early in the summer. At that time I planned to get Paul work here in Kansas City with the Sheffield Steel Corperation. You thought perhaps your friend R. Le Gray would be able to help us out, but I was unable to contact him. Mr. Elmer Lynch, who is Mre Grays assistant, is a neighbor of mine and I was able to set Paul a job through him. Sc. sel Mr. Petra and me who are with the J. Ce. Nichols Companies and are both Kansas University men, put Paul to work for their company for about a month early in the summer and then he went out to Sheffield Steel where he is still employed. He has saved enough money to take care of his tuition and books. §0 if you will be able to give him some sort of an odd job around the university, I think this boy will pay dividends. We are all very much interested in Paul and are hoping that he will develop: into a good man for Ke Ue He has made a good recorde He is a good average student.
