Dear Dr.Allen:-

I trust you will pardon the liberty I
take in writing you but I do so in behalf of LeRoy who seems
overly anxious to return to the University for some post-
graduate work,

He seems determined to continue his work
in geology and personally,while I am not opposed to it,am
leaving the matter entirely in his hands. However,in order
for him to accomplish this,he must arrange to at least be
in a position to defray his actual operating expenses in so
far as his room and board are concerned. This expense will
no doubt amount to possibly in the neighborhood of $50.00
per month anderthereabout.

It has eccured to me that possibly you
might have something in mind or be of some assistance to him
in helping him to secure some kind of employment of any —
descriptinn whereby he could help himself to gain his
objective and if so,such assistance would be greatly
appreciated by me.

In the meantime,I may be in need of a
first class young man of say from 22 to 28 years of age to
use as a time-keeper and book-keeper. Should you know of
such a person with a book-keeping education,kindly have him
write me here telling of his general make up physically,
education,experience,etc. Of course,your OK on him as to
his personality would be greatly appreciated.
