Dear Docs

I am sorry that I have been so long in getting around to corresponding
with you but I have really been busy since school let out. I had my nose operated
on the Monday after school was out. I was only laid up in the hospital for a week
and then I was back on my feet againe My side where the bone was removed was the
“only sore part of the operation, the rest didn't bother me a bite I was up in
Lawrence about a week ago but it was a very brief visit. I am sorry that I could
not have spent more time there so that 1 could have had a chance to see youe I
went swimming at the pool out on the Topeka highway with some rushees,

I have been working down here at Dads office since the week after I
got out of the hospital. i have a chance to take a little vacation in tha latter
part of August and go to Rochester, New York. My aunt wants me to come and see
her. She said that if I would come she would pay all of the expenses, so I guess
I'll go.

i have been shooting a few baskets here and there but it is too hot
for a good workout. I will have to get that jumping rope I guess and start limber-
ing up some.

Say if you ever get over here in the city please give me a ring will
you? I sure would be tickled pink to see you.

I sort of got reckless before finals this last semester and loafed too
much the ist gk before them. My grades werent at all good. I passed everything but
the grades were so bad that it hurts my conscience to mention them. It just goes
to show you that the game isn't over until the final gun goes off. I have really
got to settle down and do some studying this coming year and only too well do I
realize the facte
