Dear Dr. Allen:

Your basketball story arrived on time as you promised, and everyone here

was quite pleased with it. Good live, timely, controversial material, and
excellently written. We feel certain it will do quite well in our “ ebruary
issue, which runs throughout January in the midst of the basketball season.

It will tie in very well also with our Poll for that month, which includes

the rotation question. Unfortunately, it seems to me, the majority are voting
against the center-jump. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if your article
eventually swings a lot of people the other way.

At the same time, I want to thank you personally for the prompt response you
gave us on this idea, and your completely competent handling of the assighment.
