Or the more capable teachers may either seck further training or else leave the field of teaching. A limited number of city schools, and two counties, provided informa- tion in their teacher directories which makes possible a comparison of salaries of elementary school teachers with and without a coll-ge degree, and of high school teachers with and without a masters degree, The findings are present in 2 summarized manner in Table V.
