Dear Dr. Allens

This is to verify my conversation with you on
March 7th, regarding my request for resignation as instructorin
the Department of Physical Education, effective April lst.

Let me express to you my sincere appreciation
for all that you have done for me, you enthusiasm and encoureg=
ment, and because of the pleasant relationships, I somewhat
reluctantly leave the department. However, in view of the fact
that I will be associated with my father in business, I feel that
my future is somewhat brighter.

I sincerely hope that you will be able to con=
tinue building the department as well as Big Six Championship
basketball teams, and em sure that both will be accomplished
under your leadership.

On behalf of Mrs. Plumley, let me say that she
has enjoyed her few associations with you and Mrs. Allen very
