OFFICE OF THE DEAN THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS esse SCHOOL OF EDUCATION LAWRENCE March 4, 1938 My dear Colleague: The Department of Education has collected a number of tests in educational and mental measurements which have been assem- bled under the following twelve major heads: Algebra and Geometry (and Trigonometry) Aptitude and Character Tests Arithmetic Foreign Language Geography, Handwriting, Language, and Spelling General Achievement History and Social Science Intelligence Tests Literature and Composition Miscellaneous (Commercial, Health, Home Economics, Mechanical Drawing, and Music) Reading and Vocabulary Science These volumes constitute part of a permanent collection of test materials and because of the risks of damage and loss involved by use outside of the Library, we are asking the library author- ities not to permit the removal of any one of these volumes from that building. If Education instructors find it desirable to use any portion of the material contained in these volumes in connection with their class activities, we shall be glad to provide supplementary copies in such number and of whatever parts of this material may be de- sired, in that way eliminating the necessity of removing these volumes from the Library. We shall be glad to have you make such personal use of this material as your interests dictate. Of course, we shall be more than happy to have you refer students to this rather unusually complete collection of test materials in current use. Sincerely yours, ymond A. Schwegler Dean MR: Dil Ene.
