Your team is not disappointing to me this year as evidenced by the fact
that you took Oklahoma A @M for a ride the other night and I know that
they have a good team. It is also a consolation to know that there is no
way any blame for the poor football whowing of this year could be placed

By the way I was talking to Bailey Ricketts, our HighSchool coach today
and he stated that he would have his team up to Topeka the 28th of this
month and that he understood you would be there with your team. He has
a fine boy on his football and basketball team, who is only a Sophomore
this year but who we want to go to K.U. when he finishes High School.
The boy's name is Dale Hall and I know he is an outstanding player in
both sports. Bailey wants this boy to meet you and we would appreciate
it if you would give him a few words of encouragement. Bailey will try
and get in touch with you at Topeka during the tomrnament up there the
last of this month.
