Dear Dean Schwegler:

<I have your mimeographed letter of
October 19 calling our attention to the arrangement to
have Ur, ano Wi, St charged with the task of main-
taining contact with instructors at the University with
a view of aiding the athletes through legitimate forms
of assistance, cS .

i assure you that I will be very happy
to cooperate with Mr, Stukey in every way, I think Mr,
Stukey is a fine gentleman and a fine student, and he
will have a fine attitude as go-between for instructors
and students. ; |

We have never had any difficulty in
basketball with ineligibility. Two years ago the entire
squad had a total of but three hours of flunk for the
two preceding setesters, This year we did better in that
we had no hours of flunk, I am sending you a list of our
basketball persomnel so you can see that the grades are
quite satisfactory.

it has never been necessary to see the
instructors because I placed the primary responsibility
on the boys. I have oe contact the instructors,
and if I find any of are doing inferior work I drop
them from the squad until they bring up their work, I
find that this has a very salient effect.
