Usterly SShool of Business Administration University of Newark Newark, New Jersey .* Dear aaa’ George? Tho Big Six does not porns any athlete who has been graduated from an institution, but who has returned to their undergraduate institution for a yesr of refresher work to compete in intercollegiate athletics. But I~ understand that the Big ten does. This applies in the Big Six even though the athlete 2 not have completed his elligibility allowance. The ig Ten is much more free than the big Six but / understand they are tighting the reins somewhat. "Bud" French who says Bud is coming back to the University as soon as he gets out of the Navy, which will probably mean the beginning of the second semester. As you may remember, Bud is a pretty foxy athlete. His wife is going to want a secretarial job. She is a graduate of the Kansas City, Missouri, Junior College and has worked two years and three months with the Harris, Upham Company--all of which to me are high recommendations. Her work has been filing, typing and a little dictation. I am writing her to brush up on her dictation. I have told her to come over early this fall and talk to people--that she might find some situations that would make it advisable for her to move on over here and take a job much earlier than February 1 in order to have a good situation lined up. I have also told her about the Kansas Civil Service system which will make it:almost necessary for her to get into some organization that does not hire people on the State pay roll unless she wants to take a chance of getting bumped off by some Kansas resident who comes along and gets eligible. Her address is 5031 Baltimore Avenue, Kansas City 2, Missouri. Cordially yours, — FE Active Membership, with Graduate Magazine Subscription, $3 Annually.
