"Bud" French who says Bud is coming back to the University as soon as he gets out of the Navy, which will probably mean the beginning of the second semester. As you may remember, Bud is a pretty foxy athlete. His wife is going to want a secretarial job. She is a graduate of the Kansas City, Missouri, Junior College and has worked two years and three months with the Harris, Upham Company--all of which to me are high recommendations. Her work has been filing, typing and a little dictation. I am writing her to brush up on her dictation. I have told her to come over early this fall and talk to people--that she might find some situations that would make it advisable for her to move on over here and take a job much earlier than February 1 in order to have a good situation lined up. I have also told her about the Kansas Civil Service system which will make it:almost necessary for her to get into some organization that does not hire people on the State pay roll unless she wants to take a chance of getting bumped off by some Kansas resident who comes along and gets eligible. Her address is 5031 Baltimore Avenue, Kansas City 2, Missouri. Cordially yours, — FE Active Membership, with Graduate Magazine Subscription, $3 Annually.
