Dear Fred:

This is about the best I oan give you at the present time
on basketball, in reply to Sem Smith's inquiry:

Charlie Moffett, 4F, is the only returning letterman we
will have, and at the present time he is on the football tean.

We have a 16-game schedule at the present time, inoluding
the Big Six conference games. I am enclosing a copy of our
schedule to date. :

I don't lmow how many goodlooking boys we will have around
because most of the boys now are 17 years of age and may be called
for service at any time. ’

We will know after November lst what the V-12 will bring us.
' Phere are two boys - Heim and Pyle - now in the V-12 program who
mey be able to help us, but of course we won't know whether they
will be restricted or not until their grades are in

Qur men are small - we have no large men. I will worry
about our strength after November lst. |
