Tan writing you pronte to let you know that I appreciate _
the interest that you show in your alm mater. You bet, I will write
this bey right away and let him know that we will be delighted to
have him enroll at the University whe if he has the first eppor-
tunity. When you say that he is the "fighter type", I know that he
is one of these things. ,

IT am about ready to write snother Jayhawk Rebounds, and
I will tell the folks that I heard from you and that you were happy
and ready to amack these little yellow boys over on the west side.

: There is hardly a day passes that some fellow on Massa-
chusetts Street doesn't say, "Won't you be glad to have Charlie
Black and Ray Evans back?" And you know what my answer is ~a big
affirmative YES, with an exelamation! One of the boys at the Post |
Office said that he saw Charlie's dad who said that Charlie had
@arned a citation. He only has six mcre missions, they say, until
he has a chance, at least, for a short furlough. Well, we are hoping.

And we are wishing every good luek to you, Ray.
