Dear Corporal Kanes

I just received a letter from Lt. Ray Evans stating
that he had met you, and asking that I write to interest yeu in
the University of Kansas. Ray says that you are from Chicage
and that you are the "fighter type” of athlete. Those are the
kind of fellows I like,

I am going to serd you ow Jayhawk Rebounds, a monthly
publication that we get out to the boys overseas. We will put
you on the mailing list, and when you change your address let us
know and we will keep in toush with you.

We would be interested of course in having you enroll
at the University of Kansas after the war. If you would be inter~

ested in a catalog we will send you one. Could you tell us what
special field you expect to major in?
