They Are: The Skycracker Basket-Bombers 39th to Defend Sports Title The high-riding 39th Batt, holder of | three straight sports pennants, was a) heavy favorite this week to defend its honors successfully in the regimental finals. The athletes of Wasp and Memorial dominated the upper bracket of play by leading the 38th in six out of nine sports and tying them in two others. The 40th held sway over the 41st in the lower bracket by the same margin. If the 39th succeeds in keeping its record intact Sunday it will become the first outfit in Athens Pre-Flight history to take four Red H’s in a row. Swimming was back on the competi- tion slate for the first time since last summer. Spectators at the Sunday aquatic finals in Gilmore Pool will be seated at the Lumpkin street end.
