Dear Superintendent Fitzgerald: I am happy to advise you that we have a young man, George Dick, who is honor captain of our football team, now a member of our varsity baskethall team, and a major in Physical Education. He is graduating this year. George Dick is a fine, clean, personable and energetic young man. Last Maroh Sth he was inducted as one of our basketball playets in the Army at Ft. Leavenworth. He served until this past September when he was discharged on account of an injured knee that he sustained in Army maneuvers. He returned to the University this fall to finish hie academic work for nis degree. He will complete his work this spring and will, I believe, be in a position to accept @ position for next fall. lie is 24 years of age, very mature and very dependable. He is now coaching the University High School basketball team as a part of his practice teaching. You could do no better if you are interested in this young mane He ig a high grade young chap inevery respect and I recommend him to you without reservation. In my opinion he should command a very good salary because he is not the accidental type of teacher nor & youngster just getting out.
