Dear Phog: I em taking the liberty of answering your letter of April Srd, address- ed to Taft Talbot because Teft is in Oklahoma, and probably will not be back until the latter part of this week. You state you want some Eddie Roush Bats for your Varsity Baseball Squad, and you also state that you prefer bats with big handles. I find on going over the various autogrephed modéls in Louisville Slugger Bats, that Eddie Roush Bats run approximately 5 3/4" circum- ference of the handle at the smallest portion, while most other player's models run only about 34 " on the average in diameter. Therefore I imagine that if you get the regular Eddie Roush Model which we carry, the size of the handle will be satisfactory. Evidently you have some 34" bats that you do not like the length of and it is our understanding that you would like to have some longer ones than 34" in exchange for the 34" ones that you have. At any rate, Phog, we want to give you service on this but if you cannot wait until Taft Talbot gets back at the end of the week, will you kindly let me know just what it is that you do want. With best personal wishes, remain. JRE 0& “It Pays to Play”
