SECTION 7. ‘i An official shall not be appointed to cny game until after he has complied with the registration requirements as pre- scribed in the Regulations. SECTION 8. For the purpose of determining the relative standing of afters als, each shall be scored annually in qualifying tests set forth in Article VI hereof. The total of his separate scores in such prescribed tests shall determine his current grade and rank. SECTION 9. To encourage and develop courageous and fearless offic- iating, all coaches or other representatives of Member Institutions and all officials registered in the Office of the Comoe map shi bd be governed by the CODE OF ETHICS, Articie IX. 7 SECTION 10. In consistence with efficiency and fairness to all con- cerned, it is hoped that, for any one year, the Eligible List for football can be limited to include epproxinately thirty officials, and that the Eligible List for basketball can be limited to include about fifteen officials. SECTION 11. It shall be the duty of the Commissioner at all times to cooperate with the proposed Football Officials Association and Basketball Officials Association. SECTION 12. (a) No football official should work more than three gamos for any Member Institution with other Member Institutions, all other factors taken into consideration. (bo) No basketball official should work more than six gemes for any Member Institution with other Mcmber Institutions, all other factors taken into consideration. SECTION 13. An official who has been working e@ game or has worked the game the vear previous between two Member Institutions shall be given preference for the same game the following year, provided coaches’ Preferential Lists and Eligible List ratings merit; and further provided, that this procedure is not in conflict with any other regulation.
