9 SECTION 8. In regard to complimentary tickets or passes, officials should be governed by the Regulations as set forth in Articie III, Sections 9 to 14, inclusive, SECTION 9, An official shall not accept an assignment to serve in a gome played on the day preceding his Conference assignment without the approval of the Commissioner, ARTICLE VI METHOD OF EXAMINING, SCORING, GRADING, RANKING AND CLASSIFYING FOOTBALL AND BASKu&TBALL OFFICIALS. SECTION 1. The relative standing of an official for any single year shall be determined by his Qualifying Score for that year. SECTION @. The Qualifying Score of any official shall be determined by the total of his separate scores in the Qualifications. The Scoring Value of cach Qualification shall be fixed fcr any year by the Commissioner, the Boards of Directors of the Football and Bas- ketball Officials Associations, and the Conches. SECTION 3. Officials shall be classified as A, B and C. A nininun Qualifying Score shall be fixed for each classification annually by the Commissioner, the Boards of Directors of the Football and Bas- ketball Officials Associations, and the Coaches. (a) A Rules Interpretation Meeting for Football offic- lals on the Eligible List, shall be held during the early days of September. The interpretation of rules shall be presented by the district representative on the Football Rules Committce. (b) At least one additional day following the Interpre- tation Meeting shall be devoted to drill work on playing rules and officiating technique. SECTION 2. (a) A Rules Interpretation Meeting for basketball officials shall be held during December. The interpretation of rules shall be presentod by the district representative on the Basketball Rules Committee.
