From a close acquaintance with Mr. Edward B. De Groot

over a period of the last six years, 1 have no hesitation

in recommending him strongly, both as a coach and a

teacher. He will umdoubtedly make a success of this

work, for he has been interested in athletics, physical
edueation and hygiene ever since he “as a boy.

His father is one of the outstanding men in this field,
and his brother, Dudley, is fast making a fine reputation
fer himself at San Jose State. He is dependable and of
the very best character. He was a good all around athl ste
himself, specializing in the pole vault, but was also a
football and basketball player. Few of our graduates

are so well qualified.
