Mr. B. B. DeGroot, Jr., first came to my attention
in September, 1988, as a Scout in the Los Angeles
Council where I «as professionally engaged as
Assistant Scout Executive. As a Scout and as a
member of the Los Angeles Council Boy Scout Band,
DeGroot's work vas highly commendable and _
leadership ability led to his appointment as
member of the Camp Etaff where he was placed in
eharge of swimming, life-saving, horseback riding,
and general game and athletic program. DeGroot's
work in this field was excellent. He had the abliity
ef drawing from the boys the best that was in them and
never resorted to driving.

It has been | pleasure te be associated vith young
DeGroot socially as well as professionally from
September, 1926, to the present day and I. unhesitatingly
grade him as excellent in personality, integrity, sa iatealeigmaie
and knowledge of fundamentals.
