KANSAS STATE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND APPLIED SCIENCE MANHATTAN DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ATHLETICS March 17, 1942 Dr. Forrest C. Allen Baseball Coach University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doctor Allen: Since I have been chosen to do the coaching of the baseball team this spring Chili has turned over to me your letter of March 13, vogarding our schedule with Kansas ieee. 2 The original, schedule called for Kansas University to play at Manhattan on April 10 and 11, with a return series at Lawrence on May 8 and 9. These dates fit in very nicely with our present schedule, and Mr. Ahearn has approved the games ee they are pier se on a home and home basis. Last year here at Manhattan a few night games proved very popular and were lots of fun. If you plan on coming to Manhattan on the dates suggested, which are on a Friday and Saturday, would you consent to playing on Friday night? We like to do this for the benefit of our townspeople who are able to and enjoy attending week-night games. I shall be glad to hear from you at your early convenience, and with kind personal regards and best wishes, I am Sincerely yours, Lene - Baseball Coach FLMsLR eo ae, eh
