Dear Sir;

Your letter of May 20th with reference to the golf tourn-
ament between the alumni and the seniors has been received.

I have played the lawrence Country Club course since it
was re-designed and the last nine holes added, and I feel
sure that it is “tough.” JI would very much like to be
present and engage in the match, even though my»golf is
very poor, but, due to the fact that I have been away
from my office for some three weeks, I feel that it will
be impossible for me to be present. -

I am sure that the alumni can hold their own against any
team, and that they will be successful in the tournament.
Of course, they will undoubtedly have to receive a great
many instructions from the coach, but I am sure that they
will be successful.
