Your kind letter of the 27th inst., arrived in due course.
In checking over various matters, I am sorry that I am going to be un=
able to be in Lawrence on Seturday, June 10th. It so happens that this
is the day of the Northwest Kansas Bar Meeting, and as I am an officer
in the organization, small time od ficer it is true, nevertheless I feel
I should be present. Gonsequently I can't come to Lawrence. However,
I know you will have a good time, and I wish you the best of luck.
