FRED MEDART MANUFACTURING Co. POTOMAC AND DE KALB STREETS SAINT LOUIS, Mo. R. W. HIGGINS MANAGER APPARATUS AND July as 1941 GYM SEAT DIVISION Dr. Forrest C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: We have sold one of our basketball scoreboards to the Army at Scott Field, Illinois, and there seems to be some question as to whether the clock slide should provide for ten minute quarters or twenty minute halves. Our customer is most anxious that their equipment comply with college regulations and since it has been our experience that both ten minute quarter and twenty minute half clocks are used in college play, we cannot conscientiously advise our customer one way ao the other. It has been suggested that we inquire of you as to which seems to be the most popular in college circles, the ten minute quar- ter or twenty minute half, and if there seems to be a trend toward one or the other. Will you be so good as to let us have your comments? Cordially yours, FRED MED, RWH:je STEEL LOCKERS____ STEEL WARDROBES____STEEL SHELVING____GYMNASIUM APPARATUS____GYM SEATS____BASKETBALL BACKSTOPS____PLAYGROUND APPARATUS
