FRED MEDART MANUFACTURING Co. POTOMAC AND DE KALB STREETS SAINT LoOuTS. OO. W. A. ROBINSON, MANAGER MERCHANDISING DIVISION December 29, 1939 Dr. Forrest C. Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allen: I just received your letter of the 28th regarding Dudley DeGroot's request for Goal-Hi literature. I have checked back in the files and find that we wrote Mr. DeGroot a letter on the 20th and mailed a Goal-Hi catalog under separate cover on the same day. In the postscript on the letter which he wrote you he says that the letter just came in but no prices. The reason for this is that the catalog, including prices was sent to him under separate cover by third-class mail and would probably take two or three days longer to reach him. I will admit that it does seem as though the mail took a long time to reach him but it was probably due to the Christmas rush. I am today writing Mr. DeGroot a letter of apology and will attach another Goal-Hi catalog to my letter and send it first-class just in case the other one went astray. Although your letter was addressed to Roy, I took the liberty of answering it because Roy and Fred Medart are, at the present time, in Syracuse, New York at a convention, which is a combination Phys- ical Director and School Principal convention, and the only thing we are exhibiting is Goal-Hi. Roy is expected back in town Satur- day and we ali hope to hear a good report from him with regard to Goal—Hi in New York. Kindest personal regards. Yours very truly, Manager, Merchandising Division WAR/AC STEEL LOCKERS____ STEEL WARDROBES___ STEEL SHELVING____GYMNASIUM APPARATUS____GYM SEATS____BASKETBALL BACKSTOPS____PLAYGROUND APPARATUS
