JACK MEAGHER Auburn Will Coach North Georgia All-Stars, Using Notre Dame System Coach Meagher has a life-time coaching record of 115 victories, 61 defeats and 6 ties, playing tough schedules every year. Meagher played end at Notre Dame and uses the system made famous by the immortal Rockne. Rival coaches say that the Notre Dame System can be seen at its best at Auburn. Before coming to Auburn, he was head coach at Rice Institute for five years, where his teams were among the nation’s top-flight elevens. His teams are characterized by their flaming courage, poise and finesse. BOBBY DODD Backfield Coach, Georgia Tech Will Coach South Georgia All-Star Foot- ball Team, Using the Tennessee System Bobby Dodd, Backfield Coach at Geor- gia Tech, and former All-American Quar- terback at Tennessee, is one of the best young coaches in the game. Dodd was one of the greatest passers and field gen- erals the game has produced. As Back- field Coach at Georgia Tech, he has de- veloped some of the outstanding backs of the country, and has had a part in keeping Tech one of the most dreaded elevens in the conference. He will explain and demonstrate the Tennessee system of play. DR. FORREST C. ALLEN Basketball Coach and Athletic Director, University of Kansas Will Coach North Georgia Basketball Team Twenty-one conference championships in twenty-seven years of basketball coaching is the record esatblished by ‘‘Phog”’ Allen, dean of basketball coaches in the United States. Dr. Alens offensive game consists of short passes, pivots, dribbles, and short shots. He uses both the fast break and set screening plays. He was the origi- nator of the zone elastic band system of defense. Dr. Allen is also recognized as one of the best authorities on athletic training. He is called ‘‘the Miracle Man” and ‘“‘the second bone-setter Reese.’’ Spectacular Assembly of Georgia’s High School Stars HENRY CRISP Athletic Director and Coach, University of Alabama Coach Crisp probably has served in more capacities than any big-time coach in the game today. In eighteen years at Alabama he has served at various times as Coach of Track, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Trainer, Equipment Man, and Athletic Director. He is at present Line Coach, Basketball Coach, and Athletic Di- rector. He will lecture on Athletic Train- ing and Line Play. WILBUR HUTSELL Trainer and Track Coach, Auburn Coach Hutsell is recognized as one of the best authorities on Training in the South. He is also a national figure in Track, being a member of the National Rules Committee. He will lecture on train- ing for sports and the treatment of injuries. ROY MUNDORFF Basketball Coach, Georgia Tech Will Coach South Georgia Basketball Team Coach Mundorff has brought basketball to the front at Georgia Tech. He pro- duced teams that were undefeated during the seasons of 1925, 1927, and 1937. His 1938 team was, in the opinion of many, the strongest ever developed in the South- eastern Conference. Coach Mundorff is one of the most thorough coaches in the game today, and his lectures and demon- strations will be a popular feature of the clinic. oBee W. A. ALEXANDER Athletic Director and Head Coach, Georgia Tech Coach Alexander is dean of Southern coaches and is a national figure in foot- ball. He is one of the most resourceful men the game has known. He is a dy- namic leader and a very effective speaker. He will give lectures on Football and Conditioning, and will be on the ‘board of strategy’’ for the Southern All-Stars. GEORGE GRIFFIN Track Coach, Georgia Tech Coach Griffin will give instruction in the running events. He has developed some outstanding stars at Georgia Tech, among whom are Perrin Walker, Charles Belcher, Edd Hamm, and Robert Aldridge. FORREST “SPEC’’ TOWNS Track Coach, University of Georgia Coach Towns, former Olympic champion hurdler, will lecture and give demonsira- tions in the hurdles and high jump. NORRIS DEAN Freshman Coach, Georgia Tech Coach Dean, popular young member of the Tech staff, will have charge of the discus, shot and javelin. Lectures - Recreation - Motion Pictures - Demonstrations Entertainment REX ENRIGHT Head Coach, University of South Carolina PAUL BURNUM Freshman Coach, University of Alabama Talks on football scouting will be made by Enright and Burnum. They will then scout the All-Star teams in the game at Grant Field the night of August 25, and on the following morning will make their scouting reports to the coaches in attend- ance. This important phase of the game will be well handled and will be effec- tively presented, since it will be done under game conditions.
