Dear Doctor Allen:-

It was my good fortune to attend the first three
days of play in the first Alaska-Canadian Army
invitational Basketball Tournament, and we saw a
breathtaking brand of basketball it would be very
difficult to equal in the Big Six or Big Ten
schedules,

I know that you know a lot of these players, and
the tournament program is attached for your in-
formation and record. ‘he games were played in
the Fairbanks gymnasium,which has a more modern
and efficient basketball score board than the one
in Convention Hall at Kansas City.

This is my first experience in Alaska-I'm having a
fine time-but expect to take off for the return
trip to Kansas City about tuesday, and will likely
have to come 'in' again in May.

PS-the winners of the tournament-for Canada-
were US Army Engineers- a good illustration
of how North Ameriea is sticking together
under our present World Wide misunderstandings,.
