April 4, 1944. Miss Mildred Beecher, 301 Harrison, Newton, Kansas. Dear Miss Beecher: _ TI am sending you a rough sketch of the foot arch normal- diner. It may be thet you cannot get a gear and ratchet for the normalizer , so it might be altogether thinkable that you could put an iron peg in the end something like the lawn mower roller operates. 1 trust the sketch and description will enable you to make one since you saw it yourself when you were here. About the only kmee brace that I know is the slastic knee brace. I imagine you would be able to get those at a physicians' supply company. I am sure that if you could get some treatments for the knee you would be able to get much more relief than depending upon a brace, There is an interference with the nerve supply from the sacro-iliac sprain, and unless you remove that difficulty you will always have trouble. There- | fore, the treatments would be mors efficasious. Tf you should ever happen through Lawrence I would be glad to fix it for you. If I can help you further, please let me know. : . : Sincerely yours, — Pirestor of Physical Bducation, Varsity Basketball Coach. |
