I wish that I might have more time to write you & longer letter at this moment, but I have charge of the Douglas Comty Red Cross war fund drive and am also member and secretary of the Douglas County Selective Service Board, so I will have to mke this brief to take eare of these letters that have piled up on my desk. _ The obituary of the basketball team is enclosed herewith. Since writing the Rebounds we have defeated Nebraska, Kansas State and Missouri, and lost to Iowa State, finishing with five wins and five losses ~- just the half-way point. This is the lowest we have finished for y'are and y'ars. But I am not feeling too badly about it since this is @ war year. Wothing counts only whipping those squareheads and slit-eyes.
