Dear Dr. Allen:

I wish to thank you for the job during the:
summer. The money which I have coming from
thet source will help a lot.

In regard to the amount that I have coming
there seems to have been some error. [I re-
ceived my check today for the period June 20,
to July 20. The check I received, and which
I am enclosing to you, was in the amount of
$1.75. According to my figures I have almost
S10 dollars due me for that period, or there-
abouts. I kept no accurate account since each
time I worked I filled out one of the slips
there in your office. I presume that some
mistake in the bookkeeping has been made, or,
perhaps the other amount due me is to be
added onto the check for the work done after

I wonder if your secretary could check up on
this matter, and if my time was overlooked
might it not be added on to that amound due
me from July 20 to the end of summer school.

I am sending the check in order that you may
see it and that perhaps it may serve in check-
ing to determine the error.

Thank you again for the job and the help. I
appreciate very much your interest and coun-
sel. I left the basketball which I had check-
ed out to me with Dr. Elbel.
