Harlingen, Texas Dr. Forrest C. Allen, Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Doc: Mighty glad to hear from you Doc. Yes I am planning on taking advanced work toward my master's degree. I haven't decided just where I am going to school as yet, just sort of looking around, I am sort of looking around to see if I cant get a fellowship or work enough to see me through. Do you think I could get something like that at K.U.? About what could T expect to get from helping with basket ball. Doe I sure would like to hear more about this as I believe I would prefer taking my work at Kansas more so than at any other school. We have a young fellow here who has been coaching Junior High athletics for the past four years. He is interested in taking work in physical education and eventually getting his M.A. in same. He is a very capable young man and I was wondering if by any chance you would have a place for him in the intra- mural department or in some other phase of your work. He was an all conference full back in the Texas Conference, has played professional base ball and in general is pretty well qualified. He is especially good at officiating in football, basket ball and bas ball. If you think you could by any chance have such a place would appreciate your letting me know right away. Would appreciate hearing from you in the near future. Thark 2 ing you for past favors I am, aa Yours very ag < adm, ee ioe ae : ee
