I am writing you now to ask you, if you are not too busy, to:send me some of your ideas that you have used recently. I have your "Basketball Bible", but I thought maybe you had cooked up something since the printing of ; that. We have just dedicated a new field house here in Mason City. We had the University of Iowa play Carleton and my high school team played Newton High School. Dear Girl Scout Friend: The birthday of Girl Scouting is here. A new fiscal year for Lawrence Girl Scouts has started. The Girl Scout Council, through its Finance committee, seeks your financial support and cooperation of its program for another year. There are 259 registered Girl Scouts in Law- rence. These girls come from all types of Lawrence - homes. In addition to its outdoor crafts and citizen- ship program Girl Scout contacts afford a splendid opportunity for the cultivation of friendship and under- standing in our community. Once a year a financial contribution is asked for the promotion of Girl Scouting, The Girl Scout program is carried on by the voluntary service of many women in Lawrence. Will you strengthen their hands by assisting with the finance phase of this program? Con- tributions may be sent to the treasurer, Mrs. R. Q. Brewster, 1720 Mississippi. Mrs. Gardner and James Bruce are getting along very nicely and to say that we are proud to have a son is putting it mildly. Naturally, I am in hopes that some day he will be a basketball player, but I'm afraid that he will never attain the accomplishments of Milt and Bob. 3 Will you kindly drop me a line telling me at what time the final NC2A championship game on March 30 will start?
