Dear Girl Scout Friend:

The birthday of Girl Scouting is here. A new
fiscal year for Lawrence Girl Scouts has started. The
Girl Scout Council, through its Finance committee,
seeks your financial support and cooperation of its
program for another year.

There are 259 registered Girl Scouts in Law-
rence. These girls come from all types of Lawrence
- homes. In addition to its outdoor crafts and citizen-
ship program Girl Scout contacts afford a splendid
opportunity for the cultivation of friendship and under-
standing in our community.

Once a year a financial contribution is asked
for the promotion of Girl Scouting, The Girl Scout
program is carried on by the voluntary service of many
women in Lawrence. Will you strengthen their hands by
assisting with the finance phase of this program? Con-
tributions may be sent to the treasurer, Mrs. R. Q.
Brewster, 1720 Mississippi.
