Estimate of Laurence V. Griswold

Mr. Girswold is the type of teacher who is primarily an excel-
lent activities man, In the list of the qualities listed at the top
of this sheet, I should say that in scholarship he was around the
average for undergraduate students. He would rate very high in all
of the other qualities, I would not expeet him to do very good work
as a coach in varsity sports with the exception of mae pt oy His
experience in those has been entirely theoretical. In indoor program
for boys he would probably do.as good a piece of work as one would
find done. He is intensely enthusiastic, likeble, interested in Hs
pupils, and a superb performer. He is also extremely cooperative.

I should recommend him withoutreserve for the activities type of
position, I should like to reserve j ent as to his administrative
ability until I have seen him do more of that kind of thing. In

the organization and administration of departmental activities, such
as our annual circus, he does very well.
