‘Dear Mr.Allen:

I suppose you wonder sometimes what the
public may think of the Kansas University Foot Ball Team,

What I have to say is friendly criticism,
I just listened to a part of the game with Oklahoma where your
team was defeated 19-0 and righty so, just as it should be,
I also noted the announcer said the Stadium was about half
filled, that is what could be expected,

I say this is more or less due to the
unsportsman-ship displayed by the team in the Washburn game
and as was displayed in a game last year with St Benedicts
College, of Atchison, it appears to us who listen to the
games, and see many of them, that the K,.U.boys always want to
fight, when they have about 10 to one, I dident notice them
doing so much fighting against the Irish, or against Oklahoma
to-day, it is only when they are playing a small school when
they know af they kick, bite and scratch out the eyes of a
few players, then they can win regardless of paying ability,
as they have plenty reserve tocall upon.

I will see the game at Manhattan on the 29th,
and let them fight,as they do, with the little schools and see
what the cow=-boys do too them,

I like K.U. have several neighbor boys in
shoool with you, and it is with regrets that I read,and hear about
their apparant unfair sportsmanship when they pay a team from
a small school. This undoubtly hurts your attendance at other
games, as I am not alone in this feeling, all the men I meet,
are saying the same things.

Base ball was on the ruin through such tactics
several years ago and only though the appointment of a Dictator
in Judge Landis, was the great American sport séved.

I hope you will not be offended by these remarks,
as I mke them a friend of K.U.but a lover of good clean sprotman-
ship.
