My dear Francisco DePinedo:

I am sure glad to hear from you. I am very
sorry to here about your losses to Ae & Me I still
believe that you will take the Big Six.

I am getting along fine and I am making exception-
ally good grades. Believe it or not I'm getting a
straight A in course of physiology and anatomy. I wish
you would check up on my grades some day and you will see
that I am taking your advice about grades.

I am glad I took that training course from you.
I consider it one of my greatest assets.

I am trying to get a ride home for this next
week, and if I have a chance I will stop in Lawrence and
see you on my way back.

Give my regards to the boys on the squad and tell
them I wish them a very successful season.
