Dear Dr. Allen:

We are planning to
start immediate construction on
our proposed football field. I am
writing to ask you how much crown
we should put on it. The ground
is sandy and we plan to mix the
sand with clay. We were thinking
that perhaps a foot would be about
the right crown. Would you please
let us know what your judgement
would be?
