Dear Dr. Allens

It was my understanding, as a result of our
meeting in Chicago, that the Big Six coaches are to
gather in Kansas City on Sunday, April 16, to draft
next year's schedule. The purpose of this letter is
to be certain of that understanding, for if one of us
will be unable to attend the meeting must be postponed.

I have written to Menze and given a rather
full explanation of our discussion in Chicago, and re=
quested his attendance in Kansas City. Also, I asked
him to reply immediately as to whether or not he can
be on hands To make things certain I am asking you
and the others to communicate with me immediately as
to your attendance. Then, later this week I'll report
to each regarding the vote.

No place and time were set in Chicago so I am
taking this in my own hands by setting the meeting at the
Hotel Continental at 2:00 P.M.

In the meantime I am sending notes to each of
the officials and telling them we hope to have some rather
definite dates very soon.
