Thanks for your letter ef the 10 August.

It begins te leok as txeuck this war is abeut
ever, and if it sheuld end seen, perhaps Air Fields
.@uch as this can:ferget abeut basketball teams. I
certainly hepe it dees end very seon. We have some great
material here and a couple ef the beys should have great
careers ahead ef them.

I became aquainted with Stan Stauffer while he
was stationed here at Frederick. He advised me te write
and get en yeuvr mailing list. I'd appreciate receiving
publicatiens that yeu send frem time to time regarding
the former Kansas Athletes in the service. I've. become
very well aquainted with Gerden Gray since I've been in
the service. He's always speken very highly ef yeu. We
teek eur efficers training Eage var and have visited with
ene anether several times. He's statiened at Wace Army Air
Field and I understand had quite a geed basketball team
last year. I hepe that if we beth have teams this year that
we are able te play ene anether.

basketball game and wishing yeu centinued success at the
University ef Kansas.
