Dear Doc:

It was thoughtful of you to write after the meet
and I appreciated it. Should have answered before now
but the mail has been pretty heavy, especially from the
former Aggies now in the service. They must have got a
big kick out of the tournament. Gave them something to
brag about to their eastern buddies, 1 guess.

We were very fortunate, but none the less delight-
ed to be able to bring the title home.

The reception we got in Kansas City naturally
was very pleasing to us and 1 would like to come in there
next season. I believe Kansas and the Aggies could do
a land-office business there next winter and hope you will
consider it when setting up for next year.

Mother certainly enjoyed talking with you in
Kansas City. It was a great night for her.
