September 10, 1940 Superintendent Frank Le Irwin Superintendent of Schools Stafford, Kansas Dear oe Irwins I am sending you the information that you requested in your long«distance phone call last evening, I have checked with the Athletic Office and find that on July 20, 1935 we ordered these wire baskets from the Green Brothers Hardware Company in Lawrence, Kansase I have checked with kr. Green and he tells me that he is making up an order for the Lewrence High School Athletic Association at the present time for 100 baskets, The Lawrence High School baskets, I undere stand, are mde to the order of 10 x 12 x 24, We measured the University | baskets and they are 10 x 123 x 243¢ The beskets are made by some firm in Kansas City, Missouri but I could not learn from Green Brothers the name of that firm. I have suggested to Ure Green that he write you @ special ae letter today so that you could get the information in the morninge We paid sixty nite apiece for these baskets in 1935, and I understand thet is the same price they are quoting this years They come in serial numbers, with aluminum nuaber plates, They are very — rigid and a well-built basket, and I believe they will fit your needs. ° Please give my regards to Coach and Mrs. as ata We are very fond of thems.
