THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS UNIVERSITY EXTENSION DIVISION LAWRENCE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR April 3, 1941. Dr. F. G. Allen, Head, Department of Physical Education, 105 Robinson Gymnasiun, Campus. Dear Dr. Allen: As the date approaches, I want to remind you that we have an option on the first floor of Robinson Gymnasium for the afternoon and early evening of Friday, April 18, at the time of the Interséholastic Track and Field Meet. You probably have this in mind but I am anxious to make sure that there is no misunder- standing or oversight, so that this space will be available for serving the picnic dinner to our high school visitors in case cold or rainy weather forces us inside. I have not discussed the details of these plans with Miss Zipple recently but it may be that she will feel that we should install steam tables there in the southeast corner room in advance, just in case the weather might change at the last minute and prove unfavorable for an outdoor picnic. I will check on this the latter part of next week and will get in touch with you if it appears that we should have everything pretty well set to use the Gymnasium without waiting until the last minute to find out about the weather at that time. Cordially yours, Hed Ssgfon Director. HGI-RS,
