Dear Sir:

I received your letter of February 12,today, the delay being

caused by the fact that I was out of town.

I am sorry to hear that the shoes which I purchased were
stolen property and, such being the case, I am returning
them to you immediately. I shall have them in the mail
not later than tomorrow and they should reach you the
following day.

The price I paid the boy for the shoes was $3.50.
