Dear Dr. Allen, —

Following your telephone call today, Dre. Key
and I discussed the matter of opening the swimming pool.

Inasmuch as the pool is overloaded with the
demands of both the Army and the Navy we. suggest that
during the winter. swimming classes be opened only to
Army trainees who cannot pass swimming requirements and
the Navy trainees who cannot meet the swimming require-
ments who will be leaving the campus within the next
few months. 3
