Interpretation of grades: A—No physical defects of significance. Men are eligible for competitive sports, wartime phy- sical conditioning classes and R.O.T.C. Women are eligible for physical conditioning classes and competitive sports. B—Minor and correctible physical defects pres- ent that will not interfere with physica! con- ditioning classes, competitive sports or basic R.O.T.C. for men and physical conditioning classes and competitive sports for women. C—Presence of physical defects that will make men ineligible for R.O.T.C. and military ser- vice but will permit both men and women to participate in intramural sports. D—Presence of sufficient physical defects to in- terfere with physical conditioning classes and all but the essential activities connected with class attendance. HEALTH SERVICE @ The Health Service is maintained to aid stu- dents in keeping well, to give instruction in mat- ter pertaining to physical and mental! welfare and to demonstrate objectively the accepted methods of caring for illness and injuries. @ It offers a general medical service for illnesses arising while the student is in the University; consultations on questions pertaining to health and the correction of remediable physical defects;
