September 10, 1945 Mr. Robert Eugene iendrix 4960 Blue Ridge Blvd. Route 3 . Kansas City 3, Missouri Dear Bob: I called the Registrar's Office this morning and suggested that they send you as much information as they have concerning school enrollment. I told you that inquiries had depleted them of every bit of printed matter that they ordinarily would have on hand. ‘The Separation Centers of the Armed Forces — have asked for this material in such quantities that they are entirely out of practically all of the printed mtter that they ordinarily have. The infor- mation they send you should give you some information regarding the college. I have also asked that they send you secion 2 of the catalog. They are out of secion 1. I am sending you a brochure concerning instructions to students de~ siring to major in the Department of Physical Education. This department is in the Sehool of Education. I suggest that you call your principal at Raytown High School and ask that they send your transcript to the Registrar of the University of Kansas. By having this in to the Registrar's Office ahead of tine, it will be much easier for you when you come to enroll, as all the preliminary acorediting work will have been done before you arrive. 7 : I want to tell you how happy I am that you are going to enroll at the University of Kansas, and I know that you will like it. It was good to have your two foster parents Mr. and Mrs. Rice, with us for a visit as it is pleasant to have Bill with his bubbling good humor. Won't you write me and tell me of any other wishes you have in the matter, or feel free to ask any questions that you desire. . Be sure to check up on the high school to see that a transcript of your grades gets out at an early date, and then let me kmow when you are sure the transcript has been sent, and I will check at the Registrar's Office. With every good wish to all of you, I an, Sincerely yours, Forrest C. Allen Director, Physical Education Varsity Basketball Coach PCA:med
