Hume, District Manager 223% South Main Street Ottawa, Kansas Dear Marions It was nice of you to write me as you did on September 8, 1945. I am just finishing another Yayhawk Rebound and (this may be the last one, which is #18) I want you to have the issue coming we I shall mail it to yon in a few days. Thanks for your kind words as I assure you I appreciate them. It is a lot of fun. I imagine a fellow should mix pleasure with his work, and I have been able to do that. I highly treasure the friendship o* the boys. By the way, Marion, will you kindly give me the mileage from Ottawa to Olathe. I want to allow .05 a mile for your travel from Ottawa to Olathe when you spoke over there, and I am figuring in the meals also. The District has a siseable fund and I see no reason why you men who give so much should be penalized with further expense. I want to pay the transportation cost, and expect to take it out of the District fund, which is ample. I talked to Ex- Governor, Homer Ebright about this, and he agrees with me that since we have plenty of money, that we should not add financial expenses to a group of good past District Governors who responded so kindly upon so many occasions. Just drop me a line on give me this information, I will appreciate it. With all good eishes, I an, Rotarily yours, Forrest C. Allen Governor District No. 123 FOA:med
