October 3, 1944. Mr. Bud Howard, 503 S. 2nd St., Arkansas City, Kansas. Dear Bud: I am happy to acknowledge receipt of your letter of recent date, and I am mailing you by parcel post a copy of my text, “Better Basketball". I trust that it will be of int- erest to you and your family. Your dad will like to read the stories of great games that have been played by Kansas, and modestly I believe he will get a kick out of some of them, es- pecially the stories regarding his old pal, ocho Lonborg. If your knee is giving you much Aircuibibe perhaps you had better make another trip up. I am sure that we can > improve it even more. Naturally the bandaging will impede your progress somewhat, but perhaps it can be taped in such a way that you can still get more action out of it than you are now getting. Let me know ahead of time if you plan to come up. I am sending you a copy of our latest Jayhawk Ribena which I believe you will enjoy inasmuch as - believe you saw T. P. Hunter play a number of times. With all good wishes to you and your geod folks, I am fae: Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, | FCA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach. |
